There’s more than one way out, and the guards know the obvious ones.
Ways out
- Break a weak wall or fence. Needs the right tool, and time.
- The sewers and vents. Quiet, but guards patrol the exits.
- A keycard. Guards drop them, and some turn up during work duty. Keycards open gates.
- Over the wall. With a ladder or a grapple.
- A riot. When the prison is in chaos, nobody’s watching the gates. See Riots.
Once you’re out
Cross the prison boundary and you become a criminal. Guards can now arrest you anywhere. Head for town, or for a hideout to lie low.
Getting caught
Arrested on the way out? Back to your cell. You keep what you’ve banked; you lose what you were carrying.
